Abstract:
This paper introduces an open source, affordable, easy to use and secure home automation system based on NFC technology. An Arduino Nano microcontroller is used as the main controller for the system. The system is limited to a home model for prototyping purposes. A web application works as the user interface while a standard wireless network is used as the medium for communication. A prototype of the system is presented as proof of concept.
