Abstract:
This study analyzes the challenges of doing business in Ethiopia compared to BRIC nations, employing a mixed-methods approach that combines qualitative and quantitative data. Using surveys and interviews with business owners, policymakers, and industry experts, the research highlights key factors such as the regulatory environment, political stability, economic conditions, infrastructure challenges, and technological barriers. Findings reveal a moderate level of optimism regarding investment prospects, but significant obstacles remain, including bureaucratic inefficiencies, inadequate infrastructure, and corruption. Recommendations for enhancing the business climate include streamlining registration processes, increasing government engagement, investing in infrastructure, and fostering public-private partnerships. These actions aim to create a more conducive environment for investment and sustainable economic growth in Ethiopia.
