Abstract:
Prototyping is a fundamental part of the product development life cycle that help to evaluate the form, fit, and functionality of a design before a considerable investment in tooling is made to save cost and effort. The main motive behind prototyping is to check and validate the design of the actual product in testing phase. Our paper focuses on the comparison between virtual and physical prototyping and explains the vital role of the testing phase in building the software process. We will show how the prototypes contribute and play a significant and crucial role in the testing phase, whether they are separate (virtual or physical) and when we need to combine the two different types.
