Abstract:
: The study investigated the impact of reshoring on supply chain performance of pharmaceutical manufacturing firms in Nigeria. The specific objectives were to investigate the impact of reshoring on flexibility and quality of pharmaceutical manufacturing firms in Nigeria. Descriptive research design was used to collect data from respondents. The population of the study comprised 10 quoted pharmaceutical manufacturing firms in Nigeria. A total of 40 respondents were drawn from the 10 firms to provide primary data that was analyzed to determine the impact of reshoring on supply chain performance. 2 null research hypotheses were tested using the multiple regression with the aid of SPSS version 25.0. The study results shows that reshoring significantly impact supply chain performance in terms of flexibility and quality. The study concludes that reshoring drives supply chain performance of pharmaceutical manufacturing firms in Nigeria; and recommends that managers in the pharmaceutical manufacturing firms should use locally sourced suppliers as a key tool to build up resilience and brand perception
