Abstract:
This study aims to develop Nearpod-based interactive learning media that integrates the principles of Self Directed Learning (SDL) to improve students' Self Regulated Learning (SRL) in learning history. The development model used is ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate). The product was tested through two stages of implementation: small group trial and field test on XI social studies class students at Senior High School The research instruments included SRL questionnaire, learning outcome test, expert validation, and observation. The results showed that the Nearpod media developed was feasible and effective to use, with an increase in SRL scores from 74.19 to 84.75 in the experimental class. The paired t-test showed significance (p < 0.05), and the N-Gain value of 38.78% was in the moderate category. The interactive features of Nearpod, such as student-paced, quiz, open-ended question, and collaborate board, proved to support students' reflection, motivation, and self- control in the learning process. Thus, SDL-based Nearpod media is effective in strengthening SRL and supporting active learning of history and the direction of Merdeka Curriculum.
