Abstract:
This study aims to test the effectiveness of a history learning e-module based on wizer.me to improve students' understanding of history at SMA. The background of this study is based on the low level of historical comprehension among students due to the dominance of discussion methods and the limited use of digital-based learning in history education. This study employs a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design involving two classes: an experimental class using the Wizer.me-based e-module and a control class using PowerPoint (PPT). Data collection techniques were conducted through pre-tests and post-tests, then analyzed using normality tests, paired t-tests, and eta squared tests with the assistance of SPSS 29 software. The results of this study indicate that the Wizer.me-based e-module for history learning has a significant effect on improving students' understanding of history. This is evidenced by the significant difference between the post-test scores of the experimental class and the control class (sig. 0.001) and the effectiveness test result of 0.859. The average post-test score of the experimental class reached 82.57, an increase from the average pre-test score of 56.28. These findings prove that Wizer.me-based e-learning modules for history can improve students' understanding of history and foster 21st-century historical thinking skills. Therefore, the implementation of Wizer.me-based e-learning modules for history can be a relevant alternative strategy in senior high schools.
