Abstract:
Thyroid tuberculosis is an extremely rare form of extrapulmonary tuberculosis, often discovered incidentally during surgery or histopathological examination. We report two cases illustrating unusual clinical presentations: an exceptional association with Graves' disease resistant to medical treatment, and granulomatous thyroiditis revealed by a suspicious multinodular goiter. These cases highlight the importance of considering tuberculosis in the differential diagnosis of any atypical thyroid pathology, especially in endemic regions, and emphasize the need for systematic histopathological examination to avoid diagnostic delays.
