Abstract:
Climate change is one of the challenges that must consider the road infrastructure, with gradual changes and innovations to make the road infrastructure more resilient. The unhealthy weather conditions, heatwaves and other changes in precipitation patterns contribute to structural and functional breakdown of transport networks. There should thus be greater resilient road infrastructure installed to provide serviceability in the long term and to provide some degree of resilience to disturbance which would destabilise connectivity and economic stability.
