Abstract:
This study investigates students' perceptions of cross-year mentoring programs implemented in universities in Surabaya, which aim to support academic adaptation and enhance peer interaction among undergraduate students. Using a quantitative survey design, data were collected from students across different cohorts who had participated in mentoring activities. Descriptive and comparative statistical analyses were conducted to assess perception patterns and identify variations across demographic groups. The findings indicate that students generally perceive the mentoring program as effective in facilitating academic adjustment, improving social connectedness, and providing guidance during the early transition to university life. These results highlight the significance of structured mentoring initiatives as a supportive mechanism for fostering student engagement and improving the overall educational experience in higher education institutions.
