Abstract:
This investigation aims to explore the connection between organisational ambidexterity and the survival of telecommunication firms in Rivers State. The aspects of organisational ambidexterity consist of explorative and exploitative activities, whereas the indicators of firm survival include adaptability and innovativeness. This analysis explores the connections within specific telecommunication companies, utilising data gathered from 40 managers across 4 prominent firms in Rivers State. From a total of 45 questionnaires distributed, 41 were successfully collected and deemed valid for analysis. Spearman's rank correlation coefficient was utilised to test the hypotheses. The investigation revealed that explorative activities are significantly associated with the adaptability and innovativeness of telecommunication firms, while exploitative activities also showed a notable relationship with both adaptability and innovativeness. The analysis suggests that telecommunication companies should implement a balanced strategy that utilises both explorative and exploitative activities to enhance resilience, maintain competitiveness, and effectively adapt to environmental changes.
