Abstract:
The study was about incorporating financial control systems to boost Local Government financial performance in Uganda a Case study of Rubanda District Local Government. The study established that there is a significant relationship between financial control systems, innovation strategies and financial performance in Rubanda District Local Government. The study used questionnaire and interview guide to collect data. Both qualitative and quantitative methodologies were used by the study. The study also adopted both purposive and simple random sampling strategies. Data was analyzed using correlation and regression analysis. The results indicate that financial control systems and innovation strategies positively affect the overall financial performance of Local Governments in Uganda in terms financial returns and value for money.
