Abstract:
This research aims to analyze the relationship between changes in US interest rates and the performance of diversified investment portfolio during period from 2015 to 2023, Data on returns of range of assets, including stocks and bonds. The results showed that portfolio achieved positive overall return over period, but also experienced significant volatility in returns, Preliminary analysis suggests an inverse relationship between interest rate changes and the price of long-term bonds, Long-term interest rate changes typically lead to decline in value of long-term bonds, However, the overall impact of interest rate changes on portfolio performance was complicated by diversification of portfolio's asset classes.
