Abstract:
This study aimed to determine the influence of perceived organizational effectiveness and work readiness of police officers on their job performance. The study results are as follows: all respondents remarked "agree" in all domains of organizational effectiveness as perceived by police-respondents particularly international communication, external communication, technology/resources, empowerment, employee satisfaction, loyalty, teamwork, involvement, development, initiative, leadership ability and ability to motivate; respondents responded "occasionally" in the stress response measure of the respondents; the general performance assessment for the respondents of the study was 3.87 which corresponds to a "very satisfactory" performance; according to the study's computation, the perceived organizational effectiveness significantly influences the job performance of the respondents since the study obtained a B-coefficient value of 0.461 (p = .000); the study did not generate substantial evidence to prove that stress response measure has a significant influence on the job performance of the respondents since the computation generated a B-coefficient result of 0.071 (p = .202); and the researcher proposed a training program geared towards improving organizational effectiveness and promoting physiological and psychological well-being among the respondents..
