Abstract:
Small businesses are key drivers of economic growth in developing economies, yet they face barriers such as limited access to finance, complex regulations, and economic instability. This study analyzes the institutional, financial, and macroeconomic challenges that affect small business competitiveness. Using a mixed-method approach, combining quantitative and qualitative data, the research identifies that while economic growth and government support boost competitiveness, inflation and regulatory burdens remain significant obstacles. The findings suggest that policy reforms are necessary to improve access to finance, streamline regulations, and promote digital adoption.
