Abstract:
The learning experiences of hospitality students during a bar operation are examined in this post-activity review. Technical bar skills, such as mixing, measuring, garnishing, and controlling service flow under actual operating pressure, have significantly improved, according to the responses. Students report feeling more confident while interacting with customers, especially when it comes to taking orders, responding to guests' concerns, and keeping a kind but professional manner. In order to prevent service failures, learners realized how crucial it is to coordinate across departments, support peers, and communicate clearly. Additionally, by focusing on appropriate conduct, appearance, and adherence to service standards, the activity enhanced their comprehension of professionalism. Numerous students reported improvements in their ability to manage their time, solve problems, and recognize their own strengths and shortcomings. Finally, they strongly connected the experience to future on-the-job training (OJT) and careers, seeing the bar operation as a realistic preparation for real-world hospitality work and a foundation for becoming effective, guest-oriented hospitality professionals.
