Abstract:
This review paper concerning design and development of location based car wash service application using Tanzania as case study. Accessing reliable car wash services in Tanzania remains a challenge due to limited digital platforms, uneven service coverage, and inconsistent service quality. This study proposes the design and development of a Location-Based mobile application for car wash services. The system enables customers to locate nearby car wash stations, view real time service availability, and make bookings efficiently, while service providers can confirm, reject, or reschedule bookings to optimize operations. The study investigates the impact of real-time availability notifications on booking efficiency, service accessibility, and customer experience. System effectiveness is evaluated based on successful bookings, reduced waiting time, improved customer satisfaction, and enhanced access to car wash services compared to traditional walk-in approaches. In addition, the system ensures the security and privacy of users' information in all aspects, including location data, transactions, and personal details. The expected outcome is a functional application results for the Tanzanian market that addresses current service gaps, streamlines booking processes, and enhances overall efficiency and user experience.
