Abstract:
The influence of teacher's support on academic procrastination of students with learning disabilities presents a significant challenge, as it requires educators to adapt their instructional approaches to meet diverse cognitive and emotional needs, often within resource-limited and time-constrained educational settings. Therefore, this study investigated the influence of teacher's support on academic procrastination of students with learning disabilities in Ilorin Metropolis. Descriptive survey research design was used. Hundred (100) students with learning disabilities in Ilorin metropolis were purposively selected as study sample. A questionnaire titled " Influence of teacher's support on academic procrastination of students with learning disabilities questionnaire" with five point Likert scale questionnaire was used to collect data (r=0.79). Two hypotheses were formulated and tested at 0.05 significant levels. Data were analysed using descriptive statistics of mean, percentage, frequency count, linear regression and T-test for null hypotheses. The finding of the study showed that teacher support has significant influence on academic procrastination of students with learning in Ilorin Metropolis (P>0.05) but there was no significant difference in teacher's support on academic procrastination of students with learning disabilities based on gender (P>0.05) in Ilorin Metropolis.
