Abstract:
The main objective of this study is to determine how budgeting and cost control as cost management strategies influence the operational efficiency of selected small enterprises in San Fernando, Pampanga. The study focused on the most important areas of budgeting, such as expense planning, tracking, and adjustments, as well as cost control in terms of eliminating unnecessary costs, efficient resource utilization, and adopting saving measures. These elements are measured with the operational efficiency of small businesses. Furthermore, a quantitative descriptive-correlational study approach was used, with data collected from respondents through a structured survey questionnaire. Based on the results of the study, better financial planning, regular expense monitoring, and more efficient resource allocation all seem to have a significant influence on operational efficiency. Better business performance and improved operational outcomes are also a result of appropriate expense planning, systematic expense tracking, timely expense changes, and effective resource usage. In general, cost control and budgeting techniques help improve operational efficiency, but their efficacy in small businesses depends on their regular implementation and appropriate financial management procedures.
