Abstract:
This article examines the pedagogical and psychological significance of age-related and individual psychological characteristics in the process of developing students' professional and spiritual worldview within the general secondary education system. It argues that a scientifically grounded methodology for professional and spiritual education cannot be constructed without a precise understanding of how learners think, feel, and evaluate the world at different stages of their development, and without sensitivity to the unique psychological profile of each individual student. Drawing on developmental and differential psychology, career development theory, and the pedagogical heritage of Uzbekistan, the study analyzes the cognitive, emotional, motivational, and volitional shifts that accompany the transition from early school age through adolescence, and demonstrates how these shifts reshape the way learners perceive labor, vocation, moral responsibility, and their own future. The article further investigates the role of individual differences - temperament, character, abilities and aptitudes, interests, motivational orientation, self-concept, cognitive style, and self-efficacy - in shaping the trajectory of professional self-determination. The findings indicate that professional and spiritual education becomes genuinely effective only when instructional content, methods, and guidance strategies are calibrated to learners' developmental readiness and personalized to their individual psychological dispositions. The article concludes with evidence-based recommendations for aligning the methodological system of professional and spiritual education with the age-related and individual psychological realities of the modern student.
