Abstract:
This paper provides an analytical framework for understanding the next generation of the cloud computing paradigm, outlining strategic research vectors in response to structural transformations in data engineering. We examine the architecture, future utility matrices, and emergent systemic challenges of cloud environments. Cloud computing offers a diverse range of architectural configurations-varying by processing cores, non-volatile memory fabrics, and distributed node topologies. While cloud integration has fundamentally restructured contemporary paradigms for data storage, orchestration, and continuous compute pipelines, its trajectory remains bound to shifts in hardware abstractions and decentralized processing models.By offloading physical assets to virtualized hypervisors, organizations achieve localized operational elasticity and variable cost structures. However, arbitrary optimization pathways often generate significant inefficiencies; non-optimal architectural allocations can lead to an order-of-magnitude escalation in execution latency and overall compute expenditures. This study traces the progression of the cloud paradigm from rigid legacy infrastructure to dynamic workload-tuned systems, assessing the core dynamics of multi-cloud environments, edge-native microservices, and strict security compliance matrices.
