Abstract:
Participants had a mean age of 14.5 years with a standard deviation of 0.3 years, a mean body mass of 63.5 kilograms with a standard deviation of 6.43 kilograms, and a mean height of 162.3 centimeters with a standard deviation of 6.4 centimeters. Lower body strength was assessed using the back squat with progressive loads of seventy, eighty and ninety kilograms to estimate one repetition maximum. Upper body strength was evaluated using the bench press with loads of thirty and forty kilograms to estimate one repetition maximum. Trunk muscular endurance was measured using the frontal plank test. The mean estimated one repetition maximum squat was 114.74 kilograms with a standard deviation of 10.16 kilograms based on nineteen participants. The mean estimated one repetition maximum bench press was 69.07 kilograms with a standard deviation of 14.83 kilograms based on fourteen participants. The mean plank endurance time was 128.43 seconds with a standard deviation of 31.04 seconds based on twenty-three participants.
