Abstract:
This article analyzes the legal framework for protecting personal data on the Internet from a scientific and legal perspective. The constitutional and legal foundations of the concept of "personal data," the principles of their processing, the institutional control mechanism, the registry system and the norms of legal responsibility are highlighted. A comparative analysis of the current legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan in this area, recent amendments, and international experience (GDPR) is scientifically and practically substantiated.
