Abstract:
Soil condition is very important in farming because it affects crop growth and productivity. One of the main factors in soil is the pH level, which indicates whether the soil is acidic or alkaline. Among the methods used by farmers to determine soil pH is laboratory soil testing. However, laboratory testing is expensive, time-consuming, and requires farmers to transport soil samples from the farm to the laboratory. In some cases, farmers wait several hours or even days before receiving the results. Repeated laboratory testing also increases costs, especially for farmers with large farms. This project presents a simple and affordable system called Smart Soil pH Tracer with Crop Mapping. The system uses an ESP32 microcontroller, pH sensor, LCD display, and battery power supply to measure soil pH directly from the farm in real time. The system also recommends suitable crops according to soil pH values for precision agriculture. The system integrates embedded systems, IoT concepts, and sensor technology to support precision agriculture and improve farming efficiency. This project helps farmers save time and money compared to traditional laboratory testing methods while improving decision-making in farming activities.
