Abstract:
This study investigated the challenges Filipino Science teachers face in integrating gender perspectives among basic and higher education students. A descriptive qualitative design was used to purposively select 4 Science teachers for semi-structured interviews. The data were analyzed using six-stage thematic analysis. Results show that although teachers actively integrate gender through inclusive pedagogy, promoting sensitive environments, and representing female scientists, there are still barriers remaining. These include socio-cultural stereotypes, availability of instructional resources, and lack of professional development training. As a result, it is recommended to provide gender-responsive training and offer various resources to teachers. School administrators may also conduct curriculum reviews and help reduce these biases, fostering a fair and open learning environment.
