Non Linear Tension Softening Model of Concrete

Abstract:
A non linear tension softening model of concrete is developed in this paper. The model is developed based on energy equilibrium principal and some experimental data. To check the validity of the model, finite element analysis on some notch beam specimens under three-point loading is conducted. The maximum loads and load-deflection curves obtained from analysis are compared with those obtained from experiment. A good correlation between analytical and experimental results proves the applicability of the proposed model.
