Interest of Targeted Plates in the Treatment of Thalamic Fractures of the Calcaneus

Abstract:
Calcaneal fractures are serious injuries. They account for 65% of tarsal injuries and 2% of all fractures. Mainly affecting young adults Thalamic fractures constitute a particular entity by their mechanism of occurrence, by their treatment and by their prognosis. Our study included 16 patients who underwent surgery for a thalamic fracture of the calcaneus and were treated with screw plate osteosynthesis. The inclusion criteria were adult patients presenting with a thalamic fracture of the calcaneus and who have received surgical treatment by osteosynthesis using a screwed plate.
