Abstract:
GPOs appeared with Windows 2000 and Active Directory. They have a very major role in the management of a computer park. Thus, they make it possible to apply configuration parameters to computers or even users and to be distributed by means of an Active Directory Domain. Mastering group policies in Windows environments means increasing the security capacity of the company. Countless policy settings related to the security of workstations and servers as well as network data are configurable with GPOs. This article is not an in-depth study of group strategies because it is such abundant material that needs to be synthesized to produce an essay such as ours. Indeed, we are going to target the essential points before moving on to the configuration which will only be possible with the involvement of Windows Server, all versions combined.
