Abstract:
In this study, we seek to dive into the depths of this fictional character, analyzing its psychological, social and cultural dimensions. We will try to understand how this character expresses an existential crisis that reflects a complex reality, how this crisis manifests itself in the details of her life and decisions. It is a journey of exploration into the world of the crisis personality, a journey of understanding of the reality that produced it. In the novel "Beyond Borders", the writer Noor Alhuda Gnawi weaves subtle narrative threads that paint the image of "Franzola", a crisis character who oscillates between the past and the present, living a strangeness in place and spirit. The author uses description and symbolism as a visual language, geographical boundaries turn into psychological walls, and the transnational car symbolizes a painstaking journey of self-search in the diaspora of identity. The novel reflects deep psychological conflicts, in which the character loses his identity and belonging, groans under the weight of insult. This suffering is embodied in anxious internal dialogues, revealing the rupture of the self. Socially, the novel reflects the effects of war, occupation and discrimination, showing the character as a victim of harsh conditions imposed on her by family flight, emigration and alienation.
