This study examines the role of leadership in diverse workplaces, with a focus on its impact on organizational performance, grounded in Social Categorization Theory. Analyzing various leadership styles, including Transactional, Bureaucratic, Transformational, Autocratic, Democratic, and Charismatic Leadership, a comprehensive review of existing literature reveals that effective leadership is crucial for organizational success. The findings suggest that Transformational, Democratic, and Charismatic Leadership styles have a positive impact on organizational performance, while Transactional, Bureaucratic, and Autocratic styles have a negative impact. The paper recommends that to improve organizational performance, organizations should create a work environment that encourages employee participation, creativity, and responsibility, and invest in training and development programs to help leaders develop effective leadership styles. By adopting these strategies, organizations can unlock the full potential of their diverse workforce and achieve sustainable competitive advantage, contributing valuable insights to the existing body of knowledge on leadership and organizational performance for practitioners and researchers alike.
